About Impulse comics
Bart Allen, more known as Impulse has a highly accelerated metabolic condition. Such state causes him to age faster than the norm. Born in the 30th century, Bart is the grandson of Barry Allen (The Flash) who has endowed him with superhuman speed and other abilities.
Because of his disastrous metabolism, his concerned grandmother sends him to the 20th century where she hopes Bart can learn to control his speed powers. It worked, but with a concerning drawback, Bart finds it hard to adjust to the real world he lives in and its many dangers, making him very reckless and prone to lots of trouble.
He is later put under the guidance of Max Mercury, the Zen Master of Speed. Impulse is a popular American comic book series published by DC Comics. Impulse superhero comics first appeared on April 1995.
