About Flash comics
Barry Allen is known for being very slow and frequently tardy.
He is a forensic scientist for the Central City Police Department. His perpetual tardiness is made up by his superb detective skills in solving crimes. While working late one night, lightning accidentally struck a case full of chemicals and spilled all over him.
Realizing he was unharmed, Allen carried on until he noticed the world moving slower, but rather, he became faster. He soon finds himself being able to run extremely fast with matching reflexes, he can also vibrate his molecules making him almost invisible.
Allen decided to become Central City’s crime fighter, and the Flash is born, the fastest man alive and the Scarlet Speedster. He dons a costume of red tights sporting a lighting bolt, inspired by his childhood hero, Jay Garrick.
